The classic. Two layers of light sponge with a filling of vanilla butter cream and real strawberry jam. There are certain food favourites that need no variation or updating and a Victoria Sponge is one. Just make sure it’s made with real butter, British flour, free range eggs, and a whole fruit jam from a Royal Warrant holder. Well, that’s the way we do it anyway!
Ingredients: wheat flour (contains calcium carbonate, iron, niacin, thiamin). Raising agent: sodium bicarbonate, butter (milk), sugar, free range eggs, baking powder.
Filling: icing sugar, butter (milk), vanilla extract, strawberry jam (cane sugar, strawberries, citrus pectin, lemon juice)
Made in kitchens were nuts are used.
